Should You Add a Child Safety Seat to Your Puerto Rico Rental?

A stroller, two carry-ons, and a tired toddler can make the walk from baggage claim feel longer than it is. At Target Rent A Car, you can request a child safety seat when reserving your rental vehicle in Puerto Rico. That leaves one bulky item at home. It also gives you less to sort out after landing. We’ll add the request to your reservation.

Our seat request keeps family arrivals lighter

By the time everyone reaches the rental counter, bags, snacks, and small passengers can already fill the day. A child safety seat request keeps a large piece of travel gear off your packing list. Across our rental cars, you can request a seat for each child traveling with you. Fewer things to carry. More room to focus on the drive.

• Airport packing: Leave the bulky seat at home instead of carrying it through the airport.
• Family spacing: Tell us how many children need seats, and we can note that on the reservation.

How do we reserve a child safety seat?

At the time you book the vehicle, request the child safety seat instead of waiting until pickup. Booking early gives us more time to check availability and prepare for your arrival.

During booking, we can record the details that shape the request:

1. Child details: Provide your child’s age and size when requesting a seat so you can confirm which options are available.
2. Vehicle needs: Let us know how much passenger and luggage room your family expects to need.
3. Pickup details: Confirm your rental location and arrival information when making your reservation.

Our team keeps local safety requirements in view

On a drive from San Juan to the coast, a child’s restraint matters just as much as the route. Use an age-appropriate seat and follow Puerto Rico safety requirements for the full rental period. Our rental options let you shape the reservation around real family needs, not only the car keys.

Our pickup conversation stays practical

At pickup, take a moment to look over the child safety seat request and complete your own installation checks. Before leaving, confirm that the seat is appropriate for your child’s age and size, and check that it is installed correctly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After a long flight, that extra minute is worth taking.

Before leaving home, your family can plan a comfortable drive around Puerto Rico with Target Rent A Car and less equipment to pack. The child safety seat option means one less bulky item in your luggage and one less detail to manage at departure. Call us at (787) 257-8452 or contact us to get started.
